I provide Gestalt counselling and therapy in Glasgow, Paisley and online. I have expertise in working with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, work/life balance, loneliness, and life transitions.
I have practised as a counsellor since 2016 and am currently in advanced training and working towards accreditation as a Gestalt psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. I am in regular supervision, am fully insured and PVG checked.
My main training has been the four-year Postgraduate Diploma with the Gestalt Psychotherapy and Training Institute. I also hold a Diploma in Relational Mindfulness with the Karuna Institute. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, I have completed an 80-hour Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling mapped to competencies laid out by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I have a degree in modern languages and literature, and enjoy bringing creative expression into therapy, through words, images and creative writing.
I previously worked in research, education and public policy for over 20 years and have a masters and PhD in economic development. In my therapy work, I am interested in how we are shaped by the economic and political conditions that we live in.
I have worked and studied in a number of European countries, and this informs my ongoing interest in experiences of not/belonging, cultural difference and identity.
