I am an experienced and qualified psychotherapist / counsellor and supervisor. I have worked in private practice for 15 years and in the NHS for 10 years. I work individually and in groups with many different people from all walks of life, with varied emotional needs and issues. I work with a wide range of problems and concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement and loss, relationship difficulties, and childhood issues. In addition I have specialist training and experience of working in the areas of trauma and post traumatic stress.
I offer brief and long term therapy.
I hold a Diploma in supervision and I am also a BACP Accredited supervisor. I am happy to offer supervision to those in training or those who are already qualified on an individual or group basis. My supervision practice is predominately informed by my use of Hawkins and Shohet (2000) seven eyed supervisor model. This model is a very holistic one which not only focuses on the processes within both the therapy and supervisory matrices but also takes into consideration the wider context which may impinge upon these processes. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging relationship with my supervisees in which issues can be handled with trust.
