I’ve been working as a therapist in private practice since 2000. I offer individual, face-to-face Gestalt psychotherapy and counselling. This work can be open-ended or short-term, depending upon the contract agreed between clients and myself at our initial session. Alongside my independent practice, I have experience of therapy work across a wide range of settings; NHS, third sector, EAP, and Probation. For 10 years, I was Senior Counsellor for the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Staff Counselling Service at the University of Salford. More recently, I have supervised counsellors at Stockport Women’s Centre, and offer supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists working within relational modalities.
I see relationship as at the heart of therapeutic work, and am particularly interested in working with early developmental trauma in an embodied way. I continue to be fascinated by the challenges of working with difference in a dialogic, inclusive and field-sensitive way.
