I work 3 days per week for Liverpool University and as a therapist and clinical supervisor in private practice on the edge of Liverpool (close to Junction 3 on the M62).
I qualified as a counsellor in 1994 on a BACP Accredited course, before completing a Supervision qualification. I became a counselling tutor for Oldham College and Salford University. I started Gestalt therapy training in 1999 and completed in 2008.
I have had many years of personal individual and group therapy fortunately with some very competent therapists, both as part of my training and before becoming a therapist – I know what it’s like to be a client. As well as working with individual and couples I enjoy facilitating group therapy and co-facilitate a tri-yearly on-going group in North Yorkshire. I’m Irish with two teenage boys and a spaniel called Daisy.
