Roderic London – Ordinary Member Representative
I joined the Executive Council in October 2019 and oversee the GPTI newsletter. I have also recently become GPTI’s representative to HIPC (our college within UKCP). I have been UKCP accredited for 9 years and worked as a counsellor since 2002. In addition to this I have worked in the NHS and educational settings as a teacher, therapist, and manager of therapeutic/mental health services. I am currently engaged in providing CPD and training opportunities in Gestalt Birmingham.
Rebecca Oaks – GPTI Acting Secretary
I am a trainee Gestalt psychotherapist just about to enter my fourth year at Manchester Gestalt Centre. My background is in coppicing and woodland management where I have set up and run an apprenticeship scheme for coppice apprentices for 20 years. I look forward to bringing my energy and enthusiasm to support the aims of GPTI.
Alessandra Merizzi – Treasurer of the GPTI Executive Council
Keeping an eye on the finances of GPTI since October 2019, now from overseas, Alessandra is an accredited Gestalt Psychotherapist and Clinical Psychologist who practiced in the UK for over 6 years at the Manchester Gestalt Centre and in the NHS. She is now back to her country of origin, Italy, but continues her commitment and collaboration with various Gestalt organisations such as the MGC and the BGJ other than the GPTI.
Helena Trebar – Trainee Representative
With a background in the History of Art and Performance Design, I have been, until recently, taking on a range of roles from museum work to more creative endeavours. Alongside art-related subjects, I always had a keen interest in psychotherapies and am delighted to have taken the opportunity to expand this into an occupation. My gestalt psychotherapy journey began in 2018, initially at the Edinburgh Gestalt Institute. I have been practicing as a trainee psychotherapist within a charitable organisation since 2019. When the opportunity to become part of the GPTI Executive Committee presented itself I immediately knew it was something I wish to contribute my time and efforts to. Alongside this role, I represent GPTI to the Psychotherapeutic Counselling and Intersubjective Psychotherapy College (PCIPC), one of our colleges within UKCP.
